The Beehive Support Services Association believes that all Individuals in a community have the right to access all community resources and programs. When the community does not have a desired or needed program, BSSA will strive to provide one or to support Individuals in accessing those resources outside their community. BSSA supports Individuals we service in accessing their community through our Community Access Program.
The CA Program operates any time of the day and day of the week as determined by the Individual being supported. The CA Program runs interchangeably in the community and in locations requested by the Individuals, such as directly from their homes. Volunteers come to the BSSA location or the Individuals go to where the volunteer runs their community program. This makes the CA Program completely unrestricted and barrier-free. The goal of this program is to access services directly offered in the community, to be involved in the community, and to build healthy relationships.
The CA Program strives to include the following in their programming:
Build Community Relationships
